Gender bias is an injustice! No woman or girl should be disadvantaged because of her gender. All humans – male and female, rich and poor, educated and illiterate… – we are all created in the image of God. And therein lies our value – not in our gender or staus or education nor any other criteria.
50 Million Women ‘missing’ in India
Based on the average male to female ratio in most human populations (100:105), India is ‘missing’ at least 50 million women! This is due to gender bias expressed as: gender selective abortion, female infanticide, dowry related murders, the neglected girl-child and maternal mortality.
