Chai Chat

Chai is the best known, most loved drink on the Indian sub-continent. There are as many versions of this sweet, milky tea as there are women preparing it every day but some of the more commonly used spices in chai include ginger, cardamom, cinnamon and nutmeg. More recently chai has become popular around the world, served as ‘chai latte’.

Chai Chat: doing coffee with a purpose!

And, presuming you are a girl, a chat requires no explanation! (If you’re not a girl you can go to www.empart.org to get the boy version of all this – and FYI, a chat is what your wife or girlfriend or mother wants when she says, “How was your day?” ) Most of us girls were born to chat!

So what is a Chai Chat? A chai chat is how we do “coffee with a purpose” at empart4women. It is how you can be a voice for the widows, the neglected girl child and missing women of India. And it is as easy as L.E.C.

Step One: invite a friend around for a coffee (or go out for a latte :) )

Step Two: before you bombard her with all the empart4women info, take time to Listen to your friend’s words and heart.

Step Three: then Encourage her (based on what you heard while you had your listening ears on)

Step Four: and finally, give her a Challenge. We can ALL do something to help those less fortunate than ourselves. (And our experience is that if we choose to do this, we are amazingly transformed ourselves.) This is where you finally get to tell her about empart4women!
